Last year you will probably remember that the EU introduced GDPR – a general right of data protection. My personal conclusions are not positive: because of all the pop-up GDPR requests on websites, they are slower to load, and furthermore I don't have time to read all the information. I am sure that consequently, when tired of the all the requests, I click accept too often and get more not less spam in my email as a result.
This year the EU is focussing on a Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market. Among the details are 'a new right for press publishers aiming at facilitating online licensing of their publications, the recoupment of their investment and the enforcement of their rights.'
